Today was pretty cool, it’s always great when you get to spend time with the people you love.
Where I constantly told myself tomorrow, I am now telling myself today.

I was invited to be a part of a focus group today. It was awesome. I’m very excited and grateful to have been given the opportunity.

I unofficially passed, after about 5 hours of studying.
I really thought I might’ve failed, but I’m glad. I didn’t.

When does it end?

When everything all around,
Doesn’t seem to stop making a sound.
Pressured moments cycled like tidal waves,
Are you trapped to drown when you’re normally the one that saves?
Shoulders slumped, carrying so much weight,
The sucky part about anxiety is that there’s no end date.
You’re stuck in this funk, stuck in this head space,
Before you know it you’ve run out of a happy place.
Tough face, fake smile, fake it till you make,
Until that spilt second where you feel you’re going to break.
You.
Will.
Break.

Happy Earth Day everyone!
It’s hard to feel like a good citizen of Mother Earth when I know just how much harm we’re doing to our planet.
There’s an island of plastic and trash in the sea, starving polar bears in the Arctic, and thousands of animals that lose their homes daily because we keep chopping down trees to make houses for ourselves. There are countless ways that we screw up our environment but where there’s darkness, we can also see glimpses of hope. More cities are including recycling in their waste management, there’s been a large push to cut out using plastic straws, and though there are a lot of people that want to ignore the harm we’re doing to our planet, there’s also a large group of people that are aware and trying to make a change.
This Earth day I’ve decided to be a more active person in that group. I want to research and see what I can do differently and how I can help this beautiful planet. I encourage you guys to do the same!
Every drop, can make a ripple.

Poor little Winston didn’t feel well today.

Jess sent me on an Easter scavenger hunt this morning. I have to say going up the stairs five times when you have a hangover, not the best feeling. I loved every second of it though. She’s the best.
Later that night we dyed eggs, I think the paper towel is one of the coolest looking parts of that process.

Tonight was my first time “heavy” drinking since I started Whole 30 in January. I’m happy to say I’ve still got it.
Rockband night is also always a good time.
I love my friends.

This picture is probably one of my favorites of the year. You can see visually what I was talking about with the way too much white thing but other then that field day was awesome. I love being able to see my kids in that kind of care free environment. They were all super excited to compete and I had the chance to just sit and talk to them a lot which unfortunately you don’t get much time to do these days. We didn’t win tug of war, but we still had a super awesome time!
